Autumn belongs to pancakes...

October is here, and mornings no longer smell only of coffee, but also of the urge to stay under the covers a little longer. On days like these, it's worth getting up and heading out for a breakfast that warms you from the inside. At Bistro Den Noc, we have a simple recipe for just that: freshly fried lívance (small Czech pancakes) that melt in your mouth.

Why pancakes?

Pancakes are a memory of childhood. They smell like grandma's kitchen, a Sunday morning, and having nowhere to be. Our family business, with more than a decade of tradition, makes lívance using a traditional recipe.

Sweet for autumn

If you like something sweet for breakfast, try pancakes with plum jam (povidla). They belong to autumn just as much as the first chunky sweater. They're fragrant and taste exactly the way you imagine on a chilly morning. If you prefer something lighter and creamier, try the lívance with strawberries and mascarpone.

And when you crave something savory

Here you don't have to choose between something sweet and a coffee. Our savory pancakes are perfect for a hearty brunch. A favorite is the lívance with egg, bacon, and maple syrup, where the sweetness of the syrup meets smoky bacon. If you'd like something more elegant, go for the pancakes with salmon. And if you're looking for something you won't easily find in other Prague bistros, try our trhanec (a Czech torn pancake).

Coffee and something warming

Good coffee goes with pancakes. Our menu includes specialty coffee and other drinks, so you can choose whether you want to kick-start your day or simply enjoy a slow morning.

No waiting. No reservations.

You won't find reservations here, and you don't need them. We take pride in fast service, so even at the busiest times you'll be seated within 10 minutes. Just walk in and sit down.

Where to find us

Bistro Den Noc is in the heart of Prague's Old Town at Templová 7, Prague 1. From Náměstí Republiky, Palladium, and Old Town Square, it's just a few minutes on foot.
